HEALTH AND SAFETY

Health and Safety

To ensure employee safety, prevent health problems, lessen the impact of our operations on the environment, and enhance HG Tank Terminal Limited’s reputation and image, our primary objective is to reduce workplace injuries and accidents. This is in accordance with the company’s policy on occupational health, safety, and the environment. We’re always working to improve our safety culture, the level of top management commitment to safety and health, the rights and capabilities of our employees (including giving them the power to stop work that they think is being done in a dangerous way), and our understanding of the root causes of accidents.

The management of HG Tank Terminal Limited has steadfastly supported and advocated for the following values during the last three years:

  • valuing human life and health above the outcomes of production activity;
  • participation in and instruction on HSE issues for managers at all levels;
  • Employees are personally responsible for adhering to safety regulations;
  • Fostering a culture of safety that is proactive in preventing mishaps and disasters;
  • Effective communication among all parties involved;
  • Safe work execution and reprimanding unsafe behavior.

  • Our company’s occupational safety and health culture has undergone excellent change, and we’ve raised reporting transparency by more than 300 percent. The next stage in enhancing transparency will be HG Tank Terminal Limited membership because it would permit the sharing of information and knowledge. Accident investigation and incident prevention that were based on root cause analysis, training, and the sharing of knowledge about lessons gained within the group of businesses had a positive effect on decreasing.

    In order to identify areas for enhancement in occupational health and safety and to lower the number of accidents and industrial events, we continue to compare ourselves to other companies that are similar to ours in the oil and gas industry (International Organization of Oil and Gas Producers, IOGP). To enhance the safety culture and lower the number of workplace injuries, the following actions have been taken:

  • Safety seat belts are standard in all Group automobiles;
  • The “Behavioral Safety Surveillance” program was created;
  • Corporate paperwork was created.
